Changing rooms are decent but the pool needs a bit of love or refurbishment in area’s. Other work is going on in the complex to modernise. Pool staff were great with my little one and facilitating slide ques.

Aug 2025 – I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and now bring my kids, it’s a great outing needs a bit of refresh in some areas, somethings happening at the moment there as they’ve replaced the old check-in with a cafe and moved that downstairs, maybe more changes a foot for the slides and getting the high board open again to all. 30 year long customer still happy to visit again and again…

This place is great fun loads of slides, good price, very busy as a result. Parental supervision is a must.
I need to absolutely commend the staff, An 8 year old – non-swimmer (no parents in sight) jumped off diving board into the deep pool, didn’t come up, before anyone knew what was happening (I was stood right next to where he entered pool and I didn’t really notice) the young man on his own lifeguarding had hit the help button, shoes off, in and had the kid out in about 3 secs flat. Absolutely brilliant work, what a superstar, when ppl moan about the young generation and you see someone like this doing a job with huge responsibility so effectively while the child’s older parents are sat chatting in the shallow end relaxing and not supervising their non- swimmer kids it makes you realise 🙄. As soon as the incident report was completed he was back on duty (in his sopping wet clothes) policing the diving pool, what an exceptional member of staff and potential major disaster averted (which really would have been the parents fault not staff).

When I was in the changing room a different lady asked to borrow my makeup and admitted she was really drunk and had been looking after her kids alone in the pool despite being ‘on it all day’ she smelt heavily of alcohol and was staggering about.

We enjoyed our trip but it highlighted the poor staff risking everything having to compensate for parents neglect it’s totally not fair to them or us if the pool gets shut down due to an incident like this gone wrong
