We went to Calypso Cove Waterpark at Barnsley Metrodome. It is good value for money. There are lockers (need a pound coin) and ample changing rooms. Showers are warm. The flumes have long queues but my 9 year old didn’t mind. There is a big swimming pool, a wave pool and a pirate ship with slides for the smaller kids. There is also a designated toddler area. Diving boards for the brave and peep holes into the pool so you can see the divers in the water. There is a multi slide to race on. The 3 big flumes are super fast and fun. The Eruption flume should only be for good swimmers as the current is strong when you drop out the “bowl”. We had a great time and definitely recommend this place for a fun day out.

Pleasantly surprised to find free parking upon arrival. Very well organised for time slots

It did feel incredibly busy at time but I guess th we were swap over times for the wrist bands. The slides for closed for 10-15 mins while they mopped the floor (or this is what appeared to be happening) which seemed rather odd and then led to incredibly long cues – waited for between 10-15 mins at one point. However, half term I guess it’s to be expected so can’t complain. All in all a good place to be and good value for money
