CHILDREN of all ages will soon be able to enjoy a great day out at Barnsley Metrodome’s new adventure play area.
Adventure Reef, which is opening this Autumn, will offer fun for everyone from toddlers to teens.
Features include a sensory room, separate play zones for toddlers and older kids, a chill out area for pre-teens and a sports court for ages eight to 19.
Adventure Reef will complement the Metrodome’s existing family offering – including our popular waterpark and two cafes – making it the perfect place for a full-on day of fun.
Head of Marketing and Branding at BPL Rachel Rinkcavage said: “We wanted to provide a new, high-quality and all-inclusive family attraction for the community and identified a need for a modern, multi-age play space where everyone could have fun.
“Adventure Reef offers visitors a variety of activities – from climbing and sliding to relaxing – while the main play frames feature challenging elements like rope ladders, tunnels, climbing nets and scramble nets; providing an engaging, vibrant and interactive experience for children.
“Our sensory room will also be an important part of the attraction, offering a safe and calming space for children with specific needs.
“We already have the waterpark, two cafes and now an adventure play area, meaning families with children of different ages will now have a greater choice of activities, allowing them to extend their visit and enjoy a day of fun at the Metrodome whatever the weather.
“The excitement is already building locally and we’re looking forward to providing a valuable new leisure option for people in Barnsley, as well as welcoming visitors from further afield.”
